POLAND 2023

Join the Promnitz family in sharing the Gospel

Next Gen's relationship with Poland predates our organization by several hundred years. Due to family ties dating well beyond the Reformation, we can offer unique experiences found nowhere else. Join us as we participate in various music festivals, come alongside those serving Ukrainian refugees, attend the Royal Ball held each May, sing in locations most only dream of, and learn about the Polish/Prussian/German culture and history that make this country and her people so extraordinary.

While most ministry focuses on music, we have many opportunities using various performance teams, professional talents, and expert skills. If the Lord has laid Poland on your heart and you are not sure how you might be able to serve on a Next Gen team, contact us! Our ministry partners are always glad to have a hand, often have specific needs, and we welcome connecting people!

Why Choose Next Gen?

When you partner with Next Generation Missions, we lead your team on an organized, safe, and productive trip. We not only arrange air travel, ground transportation, lodging, and meals, but we also equip your team with knowledge of local culture, best practices, and ministry prep before your team departs. Rest easy knowing that an experienced Next Gen host will accompany your team on the trip, ready to take action if any unexpected events arise. We have an extensive list of local connections, that will help us ensure your trip is effective and enjoyable for both organization participants and the islanders you will interact with.

What Will I Be Doing?

Because of Next Generation Mission's ties to the Promnitz family, we have several the Cultural Ministry of several districts involved in our trips, providing us with unique experiences no one else can offer. Historically, the von Promnitz family was instrumental as crucial supporter for the Reformers and was known for their strong Christian faith. The foundation they laid hundreds of years ago continues today as we participate in music festivals, provide concerts in cathedrals and palaces, minister alongside refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine, and generally support the cause of the Gospel in Poland. Our 2024 trips are also planning mental health support, coming alongside our partner ministries as they provide trauma care.

POLAND FAQ

  • How much does the trip cost?

Because Next Gen provides trips based on your team, we take many factors into account for your trip. Poland trips generally run ten to 14 days and average $3,300-3,700. The size of your group and itinerary will affect pricing.

  • Which ages are best suited for ministry in Poland?

Poland trips are designed for high school and older. If you feel God is calling you and your team to Poland, we would love to visit with you!

  • How do I cover the expense?

Many teams hold fundraisers, create sponsorships, and raise money through church and individual donations from family and friends.

Next Gen does require a $500 non-refundable deposit upon registration and a complete payment schedule follows. Please note that donations are considered tax-deductible as the law allows.

  • What makes a trip successful?

The success of a trip depends on you! Team members open to learning, willing to experience new things, and flex with the day's plans often have the best experience. We often find that God works best in what seems difficult to us. Jamaica is unique in many ways and embracing the adventure of another culture, instead of expecting it to be like home, is often key to what a group might consider "successful."

  • What do I need to know about a passports and visas?

A valid passport is required for Americans traveling in Europe. Additionally, your passport must be valid for six months AFTER your last travel date (for example, if your passport expires May 31, your passport needs to be valid until November 30 for you to travel). At this time, no visas are required.

Be advised that passport processing can take up to three months for a new application. Expedited processing is available for an additonal fee.. Many passport renewals can be handled online and do not take as long, but we highly recommend allowing a generous timeframe for all passports.

  • Does my minor child need a Consent to Travel form?

Yes! Children traveling to Poland/Europe without both parents require a Consent to Travel form.

Please note, this form MUST BE NOTARIZED, so do not sign the form until the notary can witness your signature.
